Armenian phrasebook for travelers

Phrases for the situations every trip to Armenia brings. Each one is recorded by a native speaker: listen, repeat aloud, and keep the page open on your phone.

Good to know

  • A question is marked by ՞ over the stressed vowel — Որտե՞ղ է, “Where is it?” — and a sentence ends with ։, not a dot.
  • Talking to strangers, use the polite “you”: ձեզ, կարո՞ղ եք — with a shop assistant and a taxi driver alike.
